Hummingbird Feed Recipe instructions:
A 4 to 1 ratio of water to sugar is used to make this hummingbird recipe
feed.
Place a pan with the water on your stove and bring the water to a boil.
As the water is heating up , stir in the sugar and keep stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
When the hummingbird feed recipe comes to a boil, let it boil for about 2
minutes then remove it from the heat.
This 2 minute boiling will remove any chlorine that might be in the water
and will kill any bacteria in the hummingbird food.
After the homemade hummingbird food is cool you can add it to your feeder.
Put any leftover nectar in your refrigerator will it will keep for up to a
week.
Change the nectar every 2 or three days when the weather gets hot .
