The Rufous hummingbird is the most common of the
two hummingbird species in Ohio and sightings are increasing each year. The
Calliope hummingbird is not very often sighted in Ohio, which leads one to
believe the Calliope hummingbird doesn't visit Ohio except when for some reason,
they get way off their normal migration route.
